Blush Nails Tips & Tricks:
This article serves the purpose of sharing my experience of my own manicure. I do admire this concept of DIY blush nails. At first, I washed my hands thoroughly with soap and water to remove any dirt, oil, or bacteria from your nails.
For shaping my nails, I used a nail file to shape them at my desired length and shape. I filed them in one direction only to prevent damaging your nails. Then the next step is buffing my nails, I manifested nail buffer to gently buff the surface of your nails to create a smooth base for my polish. I did apply a base coat on nails to help the color adhere better and protect my nails from staining. I applied two layers of rosy gel shade with NARS’s infamous Orgasm blush and it was the perfect pick for me.
Then, I had to apply the two coats of a light pink or peach nail polish, making sure to allow each coat to dry completely before applying the next. Then, the important technique is blending with eyeshadow brushes. Using a makeup brush, I gently dabbed a small amount of a lighter shade of pink or peach onto the tips of your nails. After this, I applied a third coat of nail polish and let it half-dry. The important tip here is to share that after each nail, you must clean your brush. So that your nails get a more perfect salon-like finish.
Blush Nail Ombre Effect:
In 2023, this ombre effect is a popular trend for blush nails. To create an ombre blush manicure, I perfectly blended the two different shades of pink or peach polish together on the nails. I started with a lighter shade at the tips and gradually blended it into a deeper shade at the base of the nails.
This created a gradient effect that resembles a natural blush on the cheeks. I have used eyeshadow brush for it and you can use a makeup sponge, brush, or even a toothbrush to blend the two colours together for a seamless and trendy look. Next time, I am gonna try this trend with fully matte shade of nail-polish.
For trying out this Blush Nails trend at home, I manifested a light pink shade, almost equal to the neutral or beige tone by mixing dark pink with it and red crème blush.
I did apply first main two coats and adding the third one when required. Pro tip here is to let dry the two coats one after the other before applying the third one onto your nails.
After this, I used crème blush on my small brush and applied. I tapped off the extra amount in order to give a natural finish. In the center, I used red blush in the right middle and moved it to outwards. The perfect gradient was created with the fainted edges with crème blush.
For softened edges, you can use powder blush as powdered blushes give more natural and subtle finish to the edges. This is the best tip for DIY nail trends. When my blush was settled after sometime, I then put up the final coat on my nails. This was the final step in my DIY manicure, by locking up the blush to give a shiny and sleeky finish.
Jelly Nails vs Blush Nail:
Jelly nails, on the other hand, are characterized by a translucent, gel-like appearance. This is achieved by applying multiple layers of sheer or translucent nail polish to create a semi-transparent and glossy look.
The layers of polish can be tinted with different colours to create unique and eye-catching designs. In conclusion, ombre blush nails focus on creating a gradient effect. While jelly nails focus on creating a translucent, gel-like appearance. Both styles offer unique and stylish options for manicures.
The next time I am gonna try out more of a pink tone for a more defined and subtle look. I would create more merging ends with blush and nail polish. I would better choose a smaller shadow brush for the nails and keep a control over the defined edges.
To sum up my experience, it was a cool thing to create these nails.
If I compare my experience with jelly nails, they are easier to get. Jelly nails, on the other hand, are characterized by a translucent, gel-like appearance. This is achieved by applying multiple layers of a sheer or translucent nail polish to create a semi-transparent and glossy look.
